Child Care

Guided by the BC Early Learning Framework and Reggio Emilia principles, ANHBC creates vibrant, inclusive, and playful environments where children grow through meaningful relationships and experiences.

Our neighbourhood houses operate 58+ child care sites with 1000 licensed spaces across Metro Vancouver. Both full and part-time programs, as well as out-of-school care, are offered for children aged 0-12 years old.

Why Register your Child at an ANHBC Child Care Centre

Our approach is interconnected with land, people and place. Embedded within ANHBC neighbourhood houses, our child care plays an integral part in building and transforming community.

Children are seen as strong, capable, and unique, learning through observation, play, and rich interactions. Educators engage in observation, documentation, reflection, and collaboration to co-construct knowledge with children.

A child-centered, constructivist educational philosophy for early childhood that views children as active learners with potential and rights.

We are a leader in childcare, an accredited organization and included in the Province of BC’s Child Care Prototype for $10/day child care.

Our intergenerational programming provides wrap-around programs for families, and benefits the entire community of a neighbourhood house.

We continue to grow as the need for child care in our communities expands. We learn from each other across our sites, and inspire each other to transform and adapt with community needs.

How to get on the waitlist

Each neighbourhood house operates their child care programs independently. As they are highly sought after, most programs currently run a waitlist.
